ADI FAD has awarded a Silver Delta to our collection of personalized trophies and award plaques, designed by Jordi Pla Sabaté and Jordi Blasi Mezquita.

The verdict of the 2026 Delta Awards

A fluted cylinder cut on the diagonal. A sheet standing on one of its edges. A faceted prism with a single smooth face.

These are trophies: objects made to recognize merit that have this time been recognized themselves. The collection they form is one of the 17 Silver Deltas at the 2026 Delta Awards, in the Accessories and Tools category.

The verdict was announced on July 22 at Disseny Hub Barcelona. In this 43rd edition, ADI FAD — the FAD's industrial design association, which has run the awards since 1961 — handed out 11 Gold Deltas and 17 Silver Deltas among 422 entries.

The international jury was made up of:

  • Big-Game studio
  • Luis Eslava
  • Pilar Chiva

The jury described the collection as a minimalist rethink of a conservative market, customizable and sustainable at once.

The winning trophies are on view until September 6 in the exhibition Industrial Design and Design Culture, which brings together the 203 products selected by the association.

A system, not a trophy figurine

The collection is organized into two desktop families, totems and award plaques, built from a repertoire of four basic shapes:

  • The disc
  • The cylinder
  • The prism
  • The sheet

Each model has its own character, but two devices run through all of them. The oblique cut slices the volume on the diagonal and takes away its symmetry. The contrast sets a smooth face, where the recognition is read, against a body of raw texture.

The parts slot together, with no visible fittings or screws.

That geometry is also a production decision. It allows batch manufacturing and works with standard machining processes — removing material with a cutting tool — and with engraving. Bodies, bases and lettering faces combine within a modular system.

Materials with no coatings

Every material enters the collection with its surface left bare: post-consumer recycled plastic, concrete, FSC-certified beech, salvaged fishing nets, ceramic, recycled rubber and steel with recycled content.

  • Post-consumer recycled plastic: dense, flecked and stone-like in appearance, made from urban plastic waste.
  • Concrete: the grain of the recycled aggregates that fill it stays in plain sight.
  • FSC-certified beech: the FSC label certifies wood from responsibly managed forests; the grain is left untouched.
  • Salvaged fishing nets: pressed fiber from nets recovered from the Mediterranean.
  • Ceramic.
  • Recycled rubber.
  • Steel with recycled content.

No lacquers to even out the tone, no coatings to hide the material. The finish is the material itself.

Two trophies of the same model never come out identical — a trait taken on board in corporate awards made from textured recycled materials.

The trophy as a design object

A trophy becomes a design object once it is judged on its form, its material and its long-term use. For decades the trophy market sat comfortably in an ornate aesthetic, with personalization that rarely went beyond an engraved plate.

The winning collection pulls in the opposite direction: pared-back geometries, recycled materials and a modular system that extends circularity to the business model and to distribution.

Competing in Accessories and Tools means submitting to scrutiny on functionality, ergonomics and formal innovation. Under that scrutiny, the trophy stops being a promotional item and is measured as an everyday object that someone will keep on a shelf for years.

An award-winning collection, now on show
