What does the customisation process for equestrian trophies look like?

The process has two variants depending on who handles the graphic design:

  1. Sustain Awards designs for you. You send us the logos, texts and, if available, the brand guidelines of your equestrian event. Our team prepares the customisation aligned with your brand identity. Once the final artwork is ready, we send it to you for approval before production begins.
  2. You upload your own design. You download our template from the product page, prepare the artwork following the provided guidelines and upload the PDF file (max. 60 MB) directly in the website configurator. You can also send it by e-mail at a later stage. In either case, we review the file with you before production.

In both options you select the customisation finish: Colour · UV Print, Black and White · Laser, or No customisation. We are available to answer any questions throughout the process.

We have an idea for a bespoke trophy for our equestrian event – do you make custom trophies?

Yes, we manufacture custom trophies from scratch. It is a complete industrial design project: we define the shape, materials, manufacturing processes and finishes based on your briefing.

If you bring the concept: you present us the idea — design, visual reference or description — and our team develops it industrially: modelling, material selection, prototyping and production.

If we design from scratch: we start from the event briefing (name, visual identity, number of units) and propose a complete formal solution before moving into production.

Materials available for custom projects: we work with 3D printing, methacrylate, steel sheet with a recycled fraction, selected plastics of recycled origin and non-toxic water-based paint, among others, depending on volume and lead time.

A recent example is the trophy manufactured for VWF S2025: a piece in silica 3D printing that replicates the shape of the Torito de Pucará. This project illustrates how 3D printing makes it possible to reproduce animal figures or organic forms with geometric precision.

Cost and lead time guidance:

  • 3D printing: 5 units, lead time over 3 weeks.
  • Methacrylate: from 10 units, lead time over 2 weeks.

For a custom project, lead time and cost vary depending on the level of formal complexity and volume. We are available to assess your specific case.

Can I customise the packaging of the equestrian trophy?

Yes. The individual presentation boxes are manufactured in 100% recycled Pankaster of high grammage (600 g/m²) with a cement-coloured finish. Three options are available when configuring your order:

  • No box: no additional cost.
  • Standard box: additional cost applies.
  • Customised box: additional cost applies. Includes the event graphic design printed on the box.

Box customisation has no minimum quantity: it is applied unit by unit.

How can I request a quote?

Directly from the website, no need to call or wait for an e-mail response. The product configurator guides you through all the parameters:

  1. You select the trophy model.
  2. You choose the plate colour.
  3. You decide who handles the design (Sustain Awards or you).
  4. You select the customisation finish: UV Print, Laser or no customisation.
  5. You indicate whether you want an individual box and whether you want it customised.
  6. You enter the number of units.

Once the configuration is complete, you can download the detailed quote or add directly to the cart.

We are also interested in medals – are they customisable?

Yes. The GONG Medal comes in four standard plate colours: White, Gold, Bronze and Silver. All are available with no minimum quantity.

If you need a specific colour — a RAL or Pantone reference —, we manufacture the plate in that custom colour. This option requires a minimum order of 25 units and a lead time of 30 days.

Regarding the finish on the plate, the same options apply as for the rest of the collection: UV Print in colour or Laser engraving, both with an additional cost.

What is the difference between UV Print and Laser for customising equestrian trophies?

They are two distinct processes with different visual results:

UV Print · Colour: direct four-colour printing (CMYK) onto the surface of the plate. It reproduces logos, photographs and designs in full colour with complete chromatic accuracy.

The result is flat, with no embossing. Colours are RGB approximations; they do not correspond to exact Pantone values, although the visual match is very close. Printing is carried out using Roland DG hardware on water-based paint.

Laser · Black and White: the laser acts through a chemical oxidation reaction on the surface. It produces a subtle engraved texture and reveals the underlying colour of the material, not an applied colour.

There is no control over the output tone: the result depends on the base material. It is suitable for single-colour logos or engraved text when that textured finish is desired.

Both options carry the same additional cost.
